Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek is a legal adviser and partner. She leads the Environmental Law Practice Group and is one of the partners responsible for M&A transactions. She also heads the firm's office in Poznań.
 

She specialises in corporate and commercial transaction law as well as environmental protection law.

During her long-standing practice, Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek has advised on and coordinated legal assistance on transactions pertaining to the acquisition and sale of enterprises, as well as shares in companies’ mergers and acquisitions primarily commissioned by foreign investors. She has also cooperated with foreign law firms on global transactions. She has taken part in many enterprise restructurising projects, including mergers, compulsory buyouts and share redemptions. For many years she has headed teams of lawyers conducting complex legal analyses of enterprises.

Her experience also covers environmental protection law acquired through transaction and restructurising projects. Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek has advised on:

• procedures for transfer of environmental permits
• integrated permits
• legal analyses related to environmental impact assessment studies
• legal aspects of trade in CO₂ emission allowances
• waste management
• protection of water sources
• liability for environmental damage, in particular soil contamination.

 

Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek has represented clients in administrative and court proceedings concerning market entry of plant protection products, biocides, and veterinary medicinal products.

She also renders ongoing full-scale legal advice to large corporates.

She is a Vice Chair of Environmental Law Practice for Europe/Middle East/Africa in LexMundi, and a Communication Officer within the Real Estate Committee of IBA.

Izabela Zielińska-Barłożek graduated in law from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (1996). In 2004, she completed postgraduate studies in European Law at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

 

She has co-authored a book entitled "Mergers and acquisition transactions" (LexisNexis, Warsaw 2011) published by LexisNexis in cooperation with Wardyński & Partners.

 

She is a member of the Poznań Chamber of Legal Advisers.
