Joanna Krakowiak

Joanna Krakowiak is a legal adviser and a member of the Life Science and Regulatory Law Practice Group.

 

She specialises in pharmaceutical law, food law and regulations concerning food supplements, cosmetics and medical devices.


She advises clients on market entry procedures, advertising and labelling of life science products, particularly prescription and OTC medicines, medical products, dietary supplements, foods and cosmetics. She also advises on the classification of ‘borderline products’.


She represents clients from the pharmaceutical and food sector in administrative and civil litigation, including patent cases. She also participates in cases involving legal protection for innovative pharmaceuticals.


Joanna Krakowiak drafts agreements for the conducting of clinical trials and also handles issues related to liability for clinical studies. She deals with trade agreements, and assesses product liability risks and the scope of those risks with respect to products’ manufacturers and distributors.


Joanna Krakowiak graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (2002). She is also a graduate of the British Centre for English and European Legal Studies co-organised by the University of Cambridge. She completed a course on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) focused on arbitration, mediation and negotiations organised by Tulane University at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin.


In 2003, she was seconded to the Bech Bruun Dragsted law firm in Copenhagen.


She has written articles on commercial law, and has co-authored the Polish chapter in the book Corporate Business Forms in Europe, edited by Frank Dornseifer and published by Sellier European Legal Publishers in 2005.


Joanna Krakowiak is a member of the Warsaw Chamber of Legal Advisers.

 

She has been working with Wardyński & Partners continuously since 2002.
