Wardyński & Partners is advising the Austrian group Mayr-Melnhof Karton in its planned purchase of a paper mill in Kwidzyn from International Paper for about EUR 670 million and an additional c. EUR 33 million for payment of usufruct and operational leasing obligations.

Transaction: Faerch and Sirap 01.02.2021

The Danish-based Faerch A/S has acquired plants in Italy, Poland and Spain from the Sirap group producing plastic packaging for fresh food. The transaction included acquisition of Inline Poland sp. z o.o., owned by the Sirap group. Wardyński & Partners advised on the transaction.

Warsaw will gain the country’s largest modern incineration plant, which will also deliver heat and electricity to over 10,000 households, planned for 2023. The value of the project is over PLN 2 billion. Wardyński & Partners advised on the tender in which the Korean firm POSCO Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd., which previously completed such projects as the incineration plant in Kraków, was selected as the contractor.

Pro bono: Journalist from Polish Radio Rzeszów wins her appeal 01.12.2020

The Rzeszów Regional Court has denied the appeal by Polish Radio Rzeszów, affirming the judgment of the district court, which ruled that termination of the journalist’s contract was unlawful and reinstated her.
