Environmental protection, maritime economy, and public international law
Dr Dominik Wałkowski heads the firm’s Environment practice.
He practises Polish, EU and international environmental law, particularly concerning the legal conditions for development of real estate. He handles cases involving liability of companies and boards for violation of environmental regulations and for environmental harm. He represents clients in complex proceedings before public administrative bodies and the administrative courts.
He handles legal issues connected with environmental impact, construction and operation of large industrial plants, transboundary shipment of waste, and protection of natural resources and biodiversity. He specialises in issues of public international law and international disputes, particularly involving the law of the sea and environmental protection (disputes relating to climate change, exploration and extraction of minerals from the ocean floor, and operations in maritime areas beyond state jurisdiction).
He joined Wardyński & Partners in 2005.
